Business Development Manager - Government Clients

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team! You must have experience in selling construction, procurement or logistics services to Governments, International Organizations and/or Fortune 100 companies. You will supervise and coordinate pursuit activities, including working with clients and developing proposals in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs). You will network with the largest Government Contractors in the country, and you will oversee finding new opportunities on major procurement portals (SAM.GOV, UNGM.org, etc).
You should have strong communication skills and be goal oriented.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily sales operations
- Track monthly results and trends for business forecasting
- Establish sales goals and metrics
- Train and evaluate employees
- Resolve escalated customer complaints
- Work with HR to recruit top-tier talent
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in responding to RFPs issued by the Government (federal, state, local), the United Nations, the World Bank, or their major contractors
- Willingness and ability to work the whole lifecycle of the pursuit process, from identifying an opportunity to developing the proposal and submitting it.
- Excellent written and communication skills
