Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2250 - $2310

Key Job Details – PACU RN Travel Contract

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• End Date: December 22, 2025
• Healthcare Setting: Ambulatory Surgery Center PACU
• Shift: 5x8-hour day shifts (08:30 – 17:00), 40 hours/week
• Employment Type: Locum tenens, travel nursing contract
• Location: Eau Claire, WI 54701

PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU RN experience in a healthcare setting
• Previous travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Active and valid Wisconsin RN license (required at submission)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (AHA only, required prior to start)
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Experience in community hospital and trauma level I/II settings preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

PACU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care for patients of all ages: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Perform bedside shift reporting (BSSR), utilize AIDET communication, and conduct hourly rounding
• Provide clinical support for Endoscopy, Pain Management, Orthopedic (Hand), Dental, and Ophthalmology procedures
• Monitor patient recovery, manage airways, administer conscious sedation, and provide discharge instructions
• Conduct pre-op assessments, medication reconciliation, and post-op pain assessment and management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective patient care
• Float within the hospital as needed based on facility requirements
