E-Commerce Virtual Assistant (Shopify, Product Research & Social Media)

About the Position

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive Virtual Assistant to help manage and grow an established e-commerce business.

This is an hourly position for someone looking for a long-term opportunity. We are not seeking consultants, agencies, project-based contractors, or individuals looking to redesign a website and move on. We are looking for a team member who wants to help build and grow the business over time.

Starting schedule is 20 hours per week with the opportunity for increased hours, raises, bonuses, and potential full-time employment based on performance.

Compensation

$4.00 USD per hour

20 hours per week to start

Responsibilities:

Shopify Store Management

Upload and manage products

Create and maintain product listings

Write compelling product descriptions

Update pricing, images, variants, and inventory

Monitor website performance and identify issues

Product Research (Critical)

Research and identify trending products

Analyze competitors and pricing strategies

Evaluate supplier options

Recommend products with strong profit potential

Monitor product trends and market opportunities

Social Media & Marketing

Manage and maintain social media accounts

Create and schedule content

Assist with engagement and community management

Help develop content ideas and marketing campaigns

Support growth initiatives across multiple platforms

SEO & Store Optimization

Optimize product titles and descriptions

Conduct keyword research

Improve store content and organization

Assist with increasing organic traffic

Administrative Support

Process orders as needed

Assist with customer inquiries

Maintain organization of store files and assets

Install and manage approved Shopify apps

Complete additional tasks as assigned

Requirements Must Have:

Shopify experience

Product research experience

Social media management experience

Strong written English

Reliable internet connection

Ability to work independently

Strong attention to detail

Excellent communication skills

Preferred

Canva experience

Basic video editing experience

Email marketing experience

Basic SEO knowledge

Experience working with dropshipping suppliers

Important Interview Requirements

Camera-On Interview Required

A live video interview is required.

The camera must be turned on for the interview.

Candidates who are unable or unwilling to participate with their camera on will not be considered.

Candidates who miss scheduled interviews without prior communication will not be considered.

This requirement is non-negotiable.
