Medical Temporaries, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced ***Behavioral Health Aide/Shelter Staff***.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required working in a homeless shelter or working with the population

Two positions available: This is a FULL TIME/LONG TERM TEMP position requiring availability between the hours of 12am to 8:30am Friday through Tuesday, located in Norfolk, VA. Second position: PART TIME/LONG TERM TEMP working every Sat and Sun from 12a to 8:30am.

Responsibilities :

A Day in the life of a Behavioral Health Aide/Shelter Staff:

You will provide direct services to persons experiencing homelessness that are residing in a supervised and supportive shelter. Employees will be expected to be able to provide direct support to include distribution of personal protective equipment, frequent rounds of property to ensure rules are being followed, checking guests in and out, turning sites over for new occupancy.

Requirements for the Behavioral Health Aide/Shelter Staff: :

• Required : 1+ year of experience working in a shelter or closely with the homeless population
• Required : Engagement skills
• Required : BLS
• Required : Boundary and limit setting
• Required : Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen
• Required : Must be reliable and a quick learner and have ability to multi-task with accuracy in a very busy environment
• Required : Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications for the Behavioral Health Aide/Shelter Staff :

• Preferred : Mental Health experience
• Preferred : Bachelor's degree
