Software Developer - Active TS/SCI with FSP

Clearance Required:  TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP)
Position Type:  Full-Time, On-Site

We are seeking a highly skilled  Software Developer (SME) to support mission-critical enterprise systems in a dynamic Sponsor environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in software design, architecture, and development of scalable applications. This role will involve designing and implementing ETL processes, building web applications, and developing REST APIs to support data-intensive and cloud-ready solutions. Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP) with Java and Python is required, along with experience architecting solutions in modern cloud environments.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software solutions to meet enterprise mission requirements with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Architect and implement ETL pipelines to enable reliable data ingestion, transformation, and integration.
• Develop and maintain web applications and REST APIs to support enterprise users and systems.
• Apply object-oriented programming principles (Java, Python) in developing robust, reusable, and modular solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and analysts to define functional and technical requirements.
• Ensure solutions are aligned with Sponsor and industry best practices for secure, cloud-native architectures.
• Support the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Contribute to Agile development processes, sprint planning, and backlog refinement as part of a collaborative team environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 7+ years of professional experience in software development, including design and architecture of enterprise systems
• Proven experience with ETL development and data integration
• Hands-on experience developing web applications and REST APIs
• Strong proficiency in Java and Python with an emphasis on OOP principles
• Familiarity with cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, or equivalent) and containerized deployments
• Demonstrated ability to work in Agile teams and deliver iterative capabilities
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) required at the time of application
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Chantilly, VA

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with microservices architectures and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of enterprise data models and integration with large-scale distributed systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD automation pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong communication and documentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences

Eligibility:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future
• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) clearance is required for this role

Salary:  $195,000/yr. -$210,000/yr.
