Overview:

Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA, is currently hiring a Full Time, Day Shift Exercise Physiologist. This is an intensive Cardiac Rehab program under Pritikin, that also offers Pulmonary and Vascular Rehab.

Hours

• Monday - Friday: 7am to 4pm
• No weekends, No call

Overview

Assists in coordinating and implementing all phases of education and exercise therapy programs for the rehabilitation of persons with cardiovascular and pulmonary disease. Assists in collection of data to complete the initial patient assessment, the development of an exercise plan and a plan for education about life-style modification for Phase I and II cardiac/pulmonary rehab patients. Monitors and treats patients during exercise, assisting with modification of the exercise plan and conducts patient education.

Education

• Bachelor's Level Degree in Exercise Science or Kinesiology (Required)

Certification/Licensure

• BLS
• ACLS within one year of employment

Experience

• New grads will be considered provided an internship or clinical rotation has been completed in Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab.
