THE OPPORTUNITY
Pointe is seeking a highly motivated Designer to join our Strategic Design team. This team plays a pivotal role in the development of client deliverables and maintaining the integrity of Pointe’s brand identity. The right candidate must be a proactive problem-solver, possess innovative corporate design skills, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This individual will work closely with fellow designers, consulting teams, leadership, and the Head of Marketing to provide visually stunning, compelling, and transformative solutions for internal and external clients.
Pointe currently operates in a highly flexible hybrid office model. This is a full-time salaried position that will be in our Arlington, Virginia office. Pointe offers industry leading compensation, robust benefits, and schedule flexibility.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Design is integral to Pointe’s success as a firm. As a Designer, you will work with internal client teams in elevating Pointe’s work. More specifically, you will:
Collaborate directly with client engagement teams to develop and design presentations and deliverables
Manage multiple concurrent projects across client work, internal/community-building communications, and external marketing/sales collateral
Contribute to project management workflows that ensure load balancing and encourage team effectiveness and efficiency
Play a key role in the development of and adherence to brand and style guides
Pitch creative ideas that enhance projects and build our brand
Uphold ongoing quality assurance standards to ensure brand professionalism
Positively contribute to the dynamic, high-achieving atmosphere of the firm
Please note, we are currently considering applicants at two levels of experience. A successful candidate at the more senior level may also enjoy additional responsibilities in project management and peer mentorship.
About You

BA or BS required; design, communications, or similar curriculum preferred
Minimum of 2 years professional experience; candidates interested in a more senior position should have at least 5 years professional experience
Advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint
Working knowledge of digital marketing, video, and website content management tools a plus
Strong ability to conceptualize and visualize complex research data and strategy concepts with a high degree of self-direction
Understanding of typography, illustration, composition, and color theory
Familiarity with UI and UX design principles
Must be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
Must be comfortable engaging in a quick-turn iterative process with project leads, balancing strong design aesthetics and tight deadlines
Experience in professional services environments (strongly preferred)
