- Job-Specific Insights Seeking a Load Rating Engineer with demonstrated experience in bridge load rating, the use of load rating software (including BrR and comparable tools), and structural capacity assessment. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively presenting load rating findings and recommendations to engineers, project teams, and other stakeholders. Experience managing a load rating database for a large and diverse structure inventory is highly desirable. Additional preferred qualifications include experience administering load rating data within a Digital Bridge Inspection Reporting system and familiarity with bridge safety inspection programs and procedures. The candidate should be capable of responding to emergency events where the structural stability of a bridge may be critically compromised and recommending immediate actions such as closures or load restrictions. Proficiency with CSI or LARSA for finite element modeling (FEM) structural analysis is required.
