POSITION SUMMARY

Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to support the design, deployment, and management of secure, enterprise-grade cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for mission-critical federal operations. In this role, you will collaborate with platform and DevOps teams to architect and secure hybrid and edge computing infrastructures, integrating DaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions to enhance data availability, resiliency, and scalability through automation and best practices.

RESPONS IBILITIES (not limited to):

• Design, deploy, and manage secure, cloud-native and hybrid cloud infrastructures that meet mission-critical performance and compliance requirements (FedRAMP, DoD).
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and GitOps .
• Support and optimize multi-cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including edge deployments and Tier 2 data center operations.
• Integrate data fabric solutions to enable distributed mission systems and ensure scalable, resilient architectures.
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure performance across compute , storage, and network layers to ensure operational continuity.

RE QUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess an ac tive Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • DoD polygraph preferred .
• Accepting all levels of experience.
• Strong experience with secure cloud architecture and automation using platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Proficient in tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes, with expertise in Red Hat OpenShift, edge computing, data fabric, and zero trust frameworks.
• Cloud certifications preferred (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Associate Engineer).
