Position: Tree Trimmer

Job Overview:
As a Tree Trimmer at Valley Tree, you’ll support our certified arborists and climbing crew in performing expert tree care services. This includes trimming, pruning, removing trees, and clearing debris with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction. You'll work with a professional team using top-of-the-line equipment in a supportive, safety-first environment.

Responsibilities:

• Safely trim and prune trees for health, structure, clearance, and aesthetics
• Assist in tree removals, rigging operations, and lowering limbs
• Operate chainsaws, pole saws, chippers, and other tree care equipment
• Clear limbs, brush, and debris from job sites efficiently
• Inspect trees for signs of disease, decay, or structural issues
• Assist climbers and arborists with rope work and ground support
• Maintain tools and equipment in clean, working condition
• Ensure job sites are clean and presentable upon completion
• Uphold all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE

Qualifications:

• 1+ year experience in tree care, landscaping, or similar outdoor labor preferred
• Ability to safely operate tree trimming tools and machinery
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Physically fit with the ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform strenuous work
• Valid driver’s license is required
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Strong work ethic, teamwork, and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and advance within the company (climber training available)
