Software Engineer

Responsibilities

Peraton is looking for a talented Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize software to support mission-critical systems while working in dynamic and collaborative environments. The candidate will be responsible for creating tools, frameworks, and visualizations to meet demanding program deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of secure application architectures aligned with mission goals.
• Develop software using programming languages such as Python, R, C++, and SQL.
• Support advanced data analytics with tools like Apache, Hadoop, SAS, Tableau, and PowerBI.
• Partner with program managers and operational teams to automate workflows and improve software quality.
• Create APIs to enable seamless integration of mission-critical algorithms and enterprise systems.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in an area relevant to the position with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in an area relevant to the position with 6+ years of relevant experience. AN Additional 4 years experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Active TS/SCI or SCI eligibility and active polygraph or ability to obtain a polygraph
• Advanced understanding of software design frameworks, Agile development, and automation tools (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins).
• Proficiency in software development for intelligence systems or similar domains.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
