CTR Group is seeking a Human Resource Generalist in Newport News, VA. Immediate openings and urgently hiring! This is a role offering $37.00-$45.50 hourly.

Key ResponsibilitiesProvide guidance to employees on interpreting and applying company policiesSupport employee relations by addressing concerns, assisting with investigations, and promoting a positive work environmentAdminister FMLA and leave‑of‑absence tracking (FMLA & STD)Assist with onboarding, new‑hire orientation, and assimilation programsSupport performance review cycles and employee development initiativesIdentify training needs and coordinate with management to deliver development programsAssist in drafting policies, procedures, and compliance documentationCoordinate random and post‑accident drug/alcohol testingReview motor vehicle reports and provide recommendationsParticipate in compensation analysis, salary proposals, and job description developmentMaintain HR systems (HRIS, reporting tools, shared platforms) and generate routine/custom reportsManage remote‑work agreements and related documentationSupport internal communications, new‑hire and termination processing, and exit interviewsAssist with data collection for employee complaints and EEO‑related mattersSupport employee engagement programs (service awards, vouchers, reimbursements)Process safety‑related reimbursements and referral program submissionsMaintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment lawsStay current on HR best practices, regulatory changes, and HR technology trendsAssist with immigration‑related documentation preparationPerform additional HR duties as assigned QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related fieldStrong communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skillsAbility to work independently, prioritize effectively, and maintain confidentialityExperience supporting multiple locations is a plusProficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office tools About CTR Group:
