Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact as a contract Occupational Therapist providing virtual services to school-aged students. This remote position offers flexibility, working 25 hours per week during the upcoming 26/27 academic year in a supportive and engaging school-based environment. Help students thrive by delivering comprehensive OT support in a teletherapy format, ensuring their physical, social, and academic needs are met through personalized interventions.
Ideal candidates bring a blend of experience and skill in various OT settings, including schools, home health, and teletherapy. Your ability to adapt techniques and communication for digital platforms will be essential for student growth and collaboration with educational teams.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure and certifications as required
- Previous professional experience in school-based OT, home health, healthcare, or teletherapy
- Proficiency with virtual platforms and providing therapy in a remote setting
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and relevant documentation
- Organizational and time-management abilities for managing a flexible caseload
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting virtual assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
- Delivering occupational therapy services to students per their IEPs
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to foster inclusive environments
- Maintaining accurate records and timely documentation
- Providing support, education, and resources to families and school staff
- Participating in IEP meetings and ongoing student evaluations as needed
