Action Office (DAG)

KBR is seeking an Action Officer to provide Director's Action Group (DAG) support in accordance with established organization/office policies, regulations, and procedures in Chantilly, VA. The Action Officer directs and oversees the receipt, tasking, tracking and closure of all internal and external tasks; and manages the action tracking system. The Action Officer establishes and maintains effective working relationships with customers and other stakeholders of the Directorate/Office both internally and externally. Why Join Us?

- Perform and maintain DAG support functions to include calendar management, executive communications, recognition programs, training, travel, security
- Draft, proofread, edit and provide final review of internal and external correspondence
- Coordinate and maintain presentations for audiences up to the Customer level; maintain a quality control process for all presentations
- Schedule and provide support for internal engineering committees, Integrated Process Teams (IPT), working groups and task forces
- Support Customer Tracking Information and Enterprise Response (TIER) actions for supported office:
- Analyze TIERs to route for appropriate completion
- Monitor and reporting completion progress for managed TIERs
- Coordinate responses and assess for accuracy
- Provide consolidated responses to Senior Management for review
- Complete assigned TIERs using provided instructions
- Develop written Standard Operating Procedures for the TIER process
- Generate TIER and related metrics
- Prepare periodic reports, as required
- Provide status updates on new, pending, and late actions
- Coordinate responses and assess for accuracy prior to senior management review
- Manage and execute the action tracking process; develop standard operating procedures and serve as facilitator for user requirements
- Monitor progress on actions, generate metrics to demonstrate accountability for meeting deadlines and quality expectations; prepare periodic rep011s on action status and keep leadership aware of late, pending and new actions
- Disseminate policy and legislative changes to appropriate parties internal to the Customer
- Participate in DAG related meetings
- Manage records generated during the execution of the Directorates' projects and programs in accordance with Federal laws and regulations, as well as Customer Directives and Instructions.
- Create and assist in the preparation and development of reports, briefings and presentations for various audiences
- Assist with event planning, attend and facilitate meetings, workshops, conferences and working group sessions, track status and milestones, and provide summary of meetings and meeting minutes when requested.
- Current TS/SCI Poly clearance is required for this position
- 10+ years of experience within any Government OR target 5 years within IC or DoD
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: federal acquisitions, Department of Defense (DoD) or the /Intelligence Community (IC) budget & finance processes, and National Security policy
- Demonstrated experience in systems engineering or project/program management or both
- Demonstrated experience working with senior executives at multiple organizational levels
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office and standard computer applications
- Demonstrated experience adapting to a rapidly changing work environment while maintaining flexibility and versatility
- Demonstrated experience fostering solid relationships that promote cooperation and communicate expectations
- Demonstrated experience analyzing situations and make well informed decisions
- Demonstrated experience communicating effectively and concisely using a variety of styles and techniques appropriate to the audience
- Demonstrated ability in oral and written communication skills sufficient to compose and deliver clear and concise responses
