Senior Accountant
Position Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Tysons, VA — On-site
Assignment Type: Permanent Hire
Compensation: $90,000–$110,000 annually
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Responsibilities
- Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for assigned international entities.
- Prepare and review complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting accounting schedules.
- Analyze financial results and investigate significant variances, unusual transactions, and accounting discrepancies.
- Prepare financial reporting packages and supporting schedules for international subsidiaries and branch operations.
- Ensure financial activity is recorded accurately and in accordance with U.S. GAAP and established accounting policies.
- Coordinate close activities, reporting requirements, and deadlines with international finance teams.
- Prepare foreign currency translation calculations and related consolidation entries.
- Support the consolidation of international financial results into corporate financial statements.
- Manage intercompany accounting, including reconciliations, settlements, and elimination support.
- Research and resolve international accounting and financial reporting issues.
- Coordinate statutory reporting requirements with external providers and in-country finance teams.
- Support the implementation of new accounting standards and reporting requirements affecting international operations.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external audit requests related to assigned international entities.
- Prepare audit schedules, supporting documentation, and financial analyses.
- Execute and monitor internal control activities and support SOX compliance requirements.
- Identify accounting and control issues and recommend corrective actions or process improvements.
- Provide financial data and schedules supporting domestic and international tax compliance requirements.
- Prepare analyses supporting tax provision and tax reporting activities.
- Partner with Tax and international finance teams to ensure consistency between statutory reporting and U.S. GAAP reporting.
- Support transfer pricing, intercompany, and other international tax-related reporting requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting accuracy, reporting efficiency, and automation.
- Assist with standardizing accounting and reporting procedures across international operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA certification or progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
- At least four years of progressive accounting experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, public accounting, or a related environment.
- Experience supporting accounting and financial reporting for international entities required.
- Strong experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
