**Overview**
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Network Engineer with an active Secret clearance to provide Tier 3 support as well as design, test, and implement Next Generation Network.This position will be located in Fairfax, VA, and will be a fully onsite position.
**Responsibilities**
Provide Tier 3 support as well as design, test, and implement Next Generation Network, which includes wired and wireless LANs, network access compliance security (NAC), user identity, routing, and firewalls. Design, implement, and manage disaster recovery sites for DEA's primary data center. Implement HP and Cisco blade server systems; provide engineering and operational support for data centers, campus networks, Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Networks (DMVPN), Layer 3, Layer 2, and wireless networks. Provide engineering and operations support for network applications installed on client workstations, for VPN and network optimization, data center services to include server load balancing, WAN optimization, and network access security to include 802.1x and client posture assessment. Manage network (Cisco ACI), compute (Cisco UCS), virtualization (VMWare), and the broker (UCS Director).
**Qualifications**
High School with 10+ years, including5+ years of experience with hands-on enterprise network experience(or commensurate experience)
**Required Skills and Experience:**
- Active Secret Clearance Required.
- Professional certification (e.g. CCNP, CCDP)
- Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting various network architecture
- Knowledge of the inner workings of the major network routing protocols, including dynamic routing
- Experience with a variety of firewalls
- Solid background in network administration and architecture
- Knowledge of building, developing, and maintaining SD-WAN environments
- Familiarity with access control models and network security
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools
- Solid understanding of network operating systems (Aruba, Juniper, Cisco)
- Solid understanding of VPN
- Sharp troubleshooting skills
- Terminating fiber and network cables
- Ability to work independently
- Designing, writing, and updating both system documentation and network diagrams

**Posted Pay Range**
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
