Sr. Reports and ETL Developer

Responsibilities

Cardinal Technology Systems Corp. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Reports Developer to work for our company.

Summary

• Must possess IT-I security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC). (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot complex reports using Business Objects connected to Oracle databases.
• Validate report results and ensure the accuracy and consistency of data across systems.
• Schedule and manage recurring Business Object reports to support business operations.
• Design, implement, and optimize ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure that data stored in Oracle databases is properly structured and presented to meet user and business requirements.
• Collaborate with business owners and end-users to understand reporting needs and translate them into functional and technical solutions.
• Identify data quality issues, recommend corrective actions, and implement best practices for data governance and integrity.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for data-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of data flows, ETL processes, and reporting configurations.
• Hybrid schedule: Must be available to work on-site in Loudoun County, VA, on Mondays and Fridays.

Requirements

• Must possess IT-I security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC). (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
• 10+ years of experience in reporting and data analysis using Business Objects, including experience configuring and managing connections to Oracle databases.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience working with Oracle databases, including SQL development and data validation.
• 5+ years of experience with ETL development, data integration, and transformation processes.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, relational database concepts, and performance optimization.
• Experience working with business stakeholders to define reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data and reporting issues.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Hybrid schedule: Must be available to work on-site in Loudoun County, VA, on Mondays and Fridays.

Preferences

• Experience with Databricks for data processing and analytics.
• Familiarity with modern data integration or visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
