Summary All office and administrative support workers not listed separately. Duties Administrative assistants help keep an office running smoothly by performing a variety of clerical and organizational tasks. Their responsibilities can include:
- Communication: Answering and directing phone calls, responding to emails, and writing and distributing correspondence
- Scheduling: Organizing and scheduling appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements
- Note-taking: Taking detailed meeting minutes and preparing meeting agendas
- Filing: Creating and maintaining filing systems, both electronic and physical
- Support: Providing general support to visitors and acting as a point of contact for clients
- Supplies: Ordering office supplies and researching new deals and suppliers
- Reports: Assisting in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports and inputting and updating information in databases and spreadsheets
- Policies: Updating and maintaining office policies and procedures
Administrative assistants should have a variety of skills to excel in their roles, including time management, computer proficiency, attention to detail, communication, organization, adaptability, problem-solving, customer service, multi-tasking, and confidentiality.
Requirements 2-Year experienced (required)- Entry-level
- Office administration, Business administration, Communications, Information technology, Human resources management, or Event planning.
