Job Responsibilities for a Speech Language Pathologist: Work involves developmental screening/assessment, speech therapy services and consultation with family members and other professionals working with the family. Educate family members and caregivers on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over at community settings. Work is performed in clinic based settings Follow Individualized Service Plan, plan ongoing treatment, and interprets goals and treatment plan to parents and makes recommendations for further developmental assessments as needed Participate in monthly agency staff meeting Prepares progress reports at six month intervals and annual reviews Maintains client records and submit them to agency within established deadlines. Other duties assigned by immediate supervisor within scope of work. Requirements for a Speech Language Pathologist: Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology 1-2 years of experience working with children birth 21 is preferred, we are open to training new graduates Must possess VA state license to practice Speech Therapy Fluency in a language other than English is a plus! Physical Requirements: Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to: Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train. The ability to ascend and descend staircases. The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly. The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time. Compensation depends on experience and will be discussed during the interview process. $5,000 sign on bonus included for full-time $2,000 sign on bonus included for part-time Job responsibilities subject to change.
