: Position Summary... What you'll do... You will be joining a team that is responsible for maintaining systems that make threat detection possible. We provide a service of interrelated activities, processes, and practices that seek to prevent, identify, minimize, or neutralize cyber threats to our organization. • We maintain and support the SIEM and SOAR systems that make threat detection possible.
• The Walmart SOC Engineering team provides the services necessary for enterprise-wide regulatory compliance monitoring, cybersecurity threat detection and incident response.
• Provide log collection capabilities in support of identifying "Bad" & "Evil" and meeting government or other mandated compliance collection & retention requirements.

What you'll bring:

• A technologist who is informed on security industry trends, mature skillsets, architecture knowledge, and has a problem solving mindset.
• You have a technology degree with 1+ years' experience in cybersecurity, information technology, or computer science.
• An individual who enjoys learning and building from experience to develop tools that will inhibit threat actors and their methods.
• You are inquisitive with a passion for learning and have an understanding of various technologies.
• An individual who has the ability to create scripts for various tasks.
• You will need the mindset of a teacher, mentoring and developing more junior engineers.
