Pump Mechanic
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pump Mechanic to join a team in Hampton, VA. As a Pump Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of pumping systems. If you have a passion for mechanics and enjoy troubleshooting and problem-solving, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Hourly pay will be higher to start if you come with prior pump mechanic experience.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, and maintain various types of pumps and related equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and document findings.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist in the installation of new pumping systems and equipment as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical maintenance preferred.
- Proven experience as a Pump Mechanic or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and pump operation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
