Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

We are seeking an experienced Long-Term Care Pharmacistwho is open to travelingfor an exciting Direct Hire PIC (Pharmacist-in-Charge) opportunity. This role is with a brand-new long-term care pharmacy facility launching in Roanoke and requires a leader ready to build and guide a team from the ground up.

Position Details:

• Start: Within 23 weeks

• Setting: Long-Term Care (Start-Up Pharmacy Site)

• Type: Direct Hire

• Schedule: 24/7 operation; flexible shift structure pending finalization

• Systems: Frameworks, DocuTrack

Facility Overview:

• 40 Total FTEs

• 9 Pharmacists

• 30 Technicians

• 1 Admin/Client Support

Position Scope:
As PIC, you will be responsible for both high-level leadership and hands-on staffing support. This includes regulatory pliance, operations management, quality control, and team leadership.

You will play a vital role in building a positive and productive work culture and ensuring seamless pharmacy operations from day one. Visibility and active engagement with staff are keythis is not a desk-only position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all daily pharmacy operations, including adherence to pany SOPs and federal/state regulations

• Implement QA programs, policies, and procedures

• Ensure timely, accurate prescription review and execution

• Oversee inventory and medication handling to ensure safety and pliance

• Lead, coach, and inspire a multidisciplinary team

• Maintain regulatory readiness and professional standards

What We're Looking For:

• Virginia Pharmacist License in hand (required)

• At least 5 years of prior Long-Term Care pharmacy experience

• Previous leadership or operations experience strongly preferred

• Strong working knowledge of Frameworks and DocuTrack

• Excellent munication and organizational skills
