Responsibilities:
- Support foundation accounting operations, including endowments and restricted funds
- Ensure proper allocation and release of restricted assets in compliance with nonprofit GAAP
- Assist with budgeting processes in partnership with the finance team
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reporting
- Maintain accurate general ledger activity and reconciliations
- Partner with foundation leadership and internal stakeholders on financial needs
- Support audit preparation and documentation
- Act as a key resource for nonprofit accounting guidance and best practices
Must Haves:
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- CPA or Master’s degree
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (nonprofit accounting strongly preferred)
- Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger work
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across accounting, budgeting, and foundation support
- Not-for-profit / foundation accounting experience (endowments, restricted funds, fund accounting)
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally
Preferred:
- Healthcare or hospital experience
