Job Title: Pile Driver

Job Description

As a pile driver, you will be responsible for picking up and placing templates for pile locations, supporting crane activities and pile deliveries, inspecting tools and safety premises daily, attending toolbox talks, maintaining a safe atmosphere, and keeping the site clean and organized. You will also operate hydraulically and diesel-driven pile hammers with fixed or swinging leads to drive various types of piles, including concrete, sheet, H-pile, and pipe pile, as well as utilizing vibratory hammers to drive sheet piling. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and place templates for pile locations.
• Support crane activities and pile deliveries.
• Inspect tools and safety premises on a daily basis.
• Attend toolbox talks and maintain a safe atmosphere.
• Keep site clean and organized.
• Operate hydraulically and diesel-driven pile hammers.
• Drive various types of piles including concrete, sheet, H-pile, pipe pile.
• Utilize vibratory hammers to drive sheet piling.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Experience with concrete pilings.
• Understanding of the pile driving process and heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and understand heavy construction plans.
• Previous experience in a pile driving crew.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry and understanding elevations is a plus.
• Effective communication skills.
• Accustomed to working outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $33.00/hr.
