Job Description

Under general supervision, you will perform tasks of substantial variety or complexity, requiring a thorough knowledge of assembly techniques, tools, materials, machines, and equipment. You will work from engineering drawings, rough sketches, manuals, or verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and complex assembly, wiring, and erection of products and systems.
• Read and interpret engineering configuration and wiring drawings.
• Devise and utilize nonstandard procedures.
• Assign and check work of lower-level personnel.
• Work nonstandard schedules and/or at off-site locations with exposure to varying environmental conditions.
• Coordinate work with other groups to ensure meeting commitments.
• Perform duties in compliance with prevailing quality procedures and policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Essential Skills

• High School degree plus 2-5 years of related experience in assembly.
• Capable of reading and interpreting engineering configuration and wiring drawings.
• Experience with torque tools in a factory setting.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity to handle small components and tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.
• Experience in electrical assembly.
• Ability to perform wiring, soldering, and crimping tasks.
• Inspect and test completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

Work Environment

The role is 100% on-site in Mechanicsville, VA, within a climate-controlled facility. You will adhere to a standard schedule from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with no travel required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
