Architect

About the role

As an Appian Principal Architect, you will make an impact by leading the design and delivery of enterprise-scale Appian solutions that drive process automation, operational efficiency, and intelligent decision-making. You will be a valued member of the Digital Process Automation team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and delivery teams across Finance & Accounting functions. In this role, you will:

- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex Appian solutions aligned to business objectives
- Drive automation initiatives using Appian RPA to reduce manual effort and improve productivity
- Apply Appian AI capabilities to build intelligent, data-driven applications
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical designs
- Mentor and guide development teams while ensuring solution quality, performance, and reliability

What you need to have to be considered

- Extensive hands-on experience in Appian solution design and development
- Strong expertise in Appian RPA for enterprise process automation
- Proven experience implementing Appian AI and intelligent automation solutions
- Solid understanding of solution architecture, integration patterns, and scalability
- Appian Certified Lead Developer and Appian Certified RPA Developer

- Experience delivering solutions in the Finance & Accounting domain
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience leading architecture reviews and governance forums
- Passion for mentoring junior team members and building high-performing teams
- Continuous learning mindset with awareness of emerging Appian capabilities

Salary and Other Compensation:

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
