The Role
This position is ideal for an attorney who enjoys managing matters from start to finish, taking ownership of their work, and contributing to a team focused practice. You will work directly with clients, collaborate closely with internal team members and trusted professionals, and play an important role in delivering comprehensive estate planning solutions.
There is opportunity for expanded responsibility over time based on experience, interest, and performance.
What You Will Do
- Manage assigned matters from intake through completion with accuracy and organization
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing clear, timely guidance and education
- Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, special needs trusts, asset protection trusts, powers of attorney, and advance medical directives
- Review, update, and maintain estate planning forms as needed
- Coordinate with clients, team members, and outside financial professionals to complete estate planning matters, including proper trust funding and asset titling.
- Participate in community and professional marketing efforts, including networking with attorneys, financial professionals, and referral sources, and presenting educational seminars for local groups and organizations
- Utilize legal and practice management software to track deadlines and documentation
- Contribute to firm initiatives and process improvements that enhance client service and efficiency
Practice Areas

Requirements
What We Are Looking For
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Virginia
- Minimum of 2 years of legal experience
- Strong drafting, analytical, and client communication skills
- Detail oriented with a high standard for accuracy and follow through
- A steady, professional communicator who builds client trust
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team
- Experience with WealthCounsel or LEAP is a plus
Benefits
- Base salary range of $85,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience
- Bonus opportunities available
- Employer pays 50 percent of the employee’s health insurance premium
- 4-day workweek
