RN – Emergency Room

Location: Salem, VA

Shift: Full-time – Nights, Days, Mixed, Evenings (Rotating Weekends)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced emergency department. In this role, you will deliver nursing care for patients ranging from minor injuries to acutely or critically ill conditions. Responsibilities

• Triage, assess, and treat emergency patients of all ages
• Manage multiple patient cases simultaneously while prioritizing care based on acuity
• Maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate effective care plans and follow-up referrals
• Document patient care accurately, succinctly, and in a timely manner according to policy
• Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary departments while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety

Requirements

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program (required)
• BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program (preferred)
• Current RN licensure in Virginia or active multi-state Compact RN license eligible to practice in VA (required)
• American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider certification (required)
• Minimum of 1 year ER RN experience in an acute care setting preferred
• Med-Surg RNs will be considered for cross-training for Night Shift only

Compensation

Base Pay (based on years of experience):

• $32.33/hr – 0–9 years
• $40.41/hr – 10–19 years
• $48.50/hr – 20+ years

Shift Differentials:

• Nights: +$3.00/hr
• Weekend Days: +$3.00/hr
• Weekend Nights: +$7.00/hr

Incentives:

• Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 with 2-year commitment
• Relocation Assistance: Up to $1,500
