Interior Estimator - Commercial Construction - Base Salary to 150k/year - Chantilly, VA

• Our client is a fast-growing commercial building envelope contractor with a strong backlog across both interior and exterior scopes. The interiors division, headquartered in Chantilly, VA, partners with top GCs to deliver high-quality, design-forward construction projects throughout the DC Metro region.
  
• They are looking to add a full-time Interior Estimator to support pricing efforts on projects up to 20 million in value. The Interior Estimator reports directly to the Head of Pre-Construction and will help shape the front end of major commercial contracts through detailed estimating and client coordination. The ideal candidate will bring experience in interior systems estimating (Divisions 5, 7, 9, 10), strong organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset to support full-service pre-construction efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and quantity takeoffs for commercial interior and façade projects
  
• Manage all aspects of the bid process, including reviewing ITBs, addendums, RFIs, ASIs, and pricing for change orders
  
• Collaborate with project managers on awarded work to ensure continuity between estimating and execution
  
• Coordinate with internal design and shop drawing teams to confirm material quantities and installation methods
  
• Review equipment and rigging needs to inform accurate pricing based on scope and complexity
  
• Maintain up-to-date pricing documents and assist with project schedules during pre-construction
  
• Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to validate pricing and sourcing
  
• Support value engineering efforts and provide options when cost or schedule constraints arise

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial interiors, drywall, façade, or envelope-related scopes
  
• BS or MS in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture preferred but not required
  
• Understanding of construction materials, rigging, and building systems
  
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  
• Comfortable working with PDF markup tools such as Bluebeam or Adobe
  
• Basic working knowledge of CAD software is a plus
  
• Able to work in a full-time office environment in Chantilly, VA, and travel to project sites as needed

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 90k – 150k/year range
