GEOINT Acquisition Specialist
GEOINT Acquisition Specialist Belong. Connect. Grow. with KBR! KBR's National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on the country's most critical role - protecting our national security. KBR is seeking a GEOINT focused Acquisition Specialist to support contracts/ and related business processes throughout all stages of the contract procurement cycle. This position requires an understanding of the intelligence community and customer domain, along with a strong focus on core systems engineering processes in support of end-to-end mission and services closure. The candidate will participate in acquisition processes and system readiness events and independent review teams and is required to have strong GEOINT systems engineering background and significant space and ground domain knowledge in technical capabilities and performance. The right candidate will be able to work independently and function effectively as part of a team and interact with people from junior to senior-most levels. This individual should have experience meeting deadlines and prioritizing contracts related items across large organizations. Why Join Us?

- Acquisition Support: Provide expert advice to the Program Director, Program Managers and Contracting Staff regarding acquisition strategies, contracting, budgeting, and execution.
- Pre-Award Acquisition Support: Provide advice recommendations, and document preparation support to GEOINT disciplined office in all areas of the acquisition pre-award phase, to include:
- SOW's: Statement of Works (SOWs), Statement of Objectives (SOOs)
- Acquisition Strategy Support
- Cost Estimates
- Market Research & Market Surveys
- Quality Assurance Plans
- Requests for Proposals (RFPs)/Request for Quotations (RFQs)
- Source Selection
- Other miscellaneous pre-award documentation
- Location: On-site
- Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%
- Working Hours: Standard/Flexible
- Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Education: B.S. in engineering, physics or related technical degree with at least 8 years' experience with space/ground aerospace systems engineering
- Experience: 4-5 years of experience in contracts or acquisition experience
- Knowledge: Working knowledge of GEOINT Mission Processing, product definition and generation
- Technical: Familiarity with specific IC customer, technical familiarity with mission processing or mission control of one or more GEOINT systems, SAR and FSG experience highly desired
