Community Relations Manager (Outside Sales)

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Community Relations Manager to spearhead our lead generation efforts and establish strong referral partnerships in the Alexandria, VA community. The ideal candidate will be professional, well-spoken and at ease in presenting to both professional as well as community audiences. Daily activities will include face-to-face marketing visits, community-based demonstrations and presenting professional in-services. This is an outside sales role for a professional who thrives in networking, building relationships, and closing deals in the home care industry. - Drive Lead Generation & Sales Growth – Identify, engage, and convert potential clients into long-term customers, meeting or exceeding monthly sales quotas.
- Establish & Maintain Referral Relationships – Build trusted partnerships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, doctors’ offices, rehabilitation centers, assisted living communities, and home health agencies to generate referrals.
- Engage with Local Businesses & Networking Groups – Actively connect with financial planners, elder law attorneys, chambers of commerce, civic organizations, and community networking events to create new business opportunities.
- Develop & Implement Sales Strategies – Execute outreach campaigns, in-person visits, cold calls, and presentations to expand brand awareness and drive new client acquisitions.
- Track & Report Sales Activity – Maintain detailed records in a CRM system, track referrals, sales pipeline, and performance metrics to ensure targets are met.
- Educate the Community – Represent the company at senior expos, health fairs, professional networking events, and educational workshops to spread awareness about our services.
- Collaborate with the Care Team – Work closely with our care coordinators and leadership team to ensure seamless client on-boarding and service excellence.
- Proven sales experience in healthcare, home care, senior living, or a related industry.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to connect with healthcare professionals, business leaders, and community organizations.
- Self-motivated, goal-driven, and persistent in meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
- Ability to manage a full sales pipeline—prospecting, outreach, closing, and follow-up.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills—capable of delivering compelling presentations.
- Comfortable with in-person networking, cold calling, and attending community events.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and social media marketing a plus!
- Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation (this is a field-based role).
