Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer – Float Pool (PRN)
Fairfax Radiology Centers – Fairfax County, VA
PRN | Day Shift | 8-Hour Shifts
Start Times Between 6:00 AM – 8:30 AM
No Weekends | No Major Holidays | No Evenings | No Call

As a PRN Float Sonographer, you'll provide exceptional diagnostic ultrasound services while supporting multiple Fairfax Radiology Centers locations.
Perform Diagnostic Ultrasound Examinations- Perform high-quality general ultrasound examinations
- Complete examinations including:
- Obstetrics (1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester)
- Gynecology
- Abdominal imaging
- Small parts imaging
- Produce consistently excellent diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation
- Create a welcoming, reassuring experience for every patient
- Explain procedures clearly and compassionately
- Monitor patient comfort throughout each examination
- Deliver outstanding customer service during every patient interaction
- Adapt quickly to different outpatient imaging locations
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, technologists, and support staff
- Maintain consistent imaging quality and patient care standards across all centers
- Represent Fairfax Radiology Centers with professionalism wherever you work
- RDMS certification upon hire
- Current BLS certification
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to travel between Fairfax Radiology Centers locations
- One or more years of general sonography experience
- Experience performing OB, GYN, abdominal, and small parts ultrasound examinations
- Experience working in an outpatient imaging environment

Based on your qualifications and experience, the compensation range for this position is:
$39.95 - $54.05 per hour (plus float differential)
Placement within the range is determined by factors including experience, education, certifications, and internal equity.
