Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in McLean, Virginia. The selected candidate will play a critical role in managing and enhancing the mainframe infrastructure, ensuring system upgrades are implemented effectively, and addressing technical risks. This position requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise in mainframe systems, particularly z/OS, and the ability to collaborate across teams to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Identify technical risks associated with planned system upgrades and implement mitigations.
• Review and oversee the completion and implementation of system upgrades and enhancements.
• Analyze, identify, and resolve system problems effectively.
• Collaborate with business, application teams, and managed services vendors to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe infrastructure engineering.
• Strong knowledge of z/OS architectures and internals.
• Experience with the zSecure tool and its customization language, Carla (preferred).
• Understanding of mainframe security, including pervasive encryption and audit support.
• Proficiency in IBM Mainframe Systems, including JCL, CICS, SQL, z/OS, DB2, IMS, VSAM, XML, and TSO/ISPF.

Pay Range: $65.00 - $70.00

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
