Registered Nurse – Cath Lab Holding Travel Position Location: Chesapeake, VA Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 4×10s Days Pay: $2,470/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts) Job Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cath Lab Holding Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Chesapeake, VA on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide pre- and post-procedural care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. The ideal candidate is skilled in patient assessment, cardiovascular nursing, and supporting optimal patient recovery. Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients before and after cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, and other cardiovascular procedures.
• Assess patient readiness for procedures, ensuring pre-procedure instructions and preparations are complete.
• Monitor patient vital signs, hemodynamic status, and comfort during pre- and post-procedural periods.
• Administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, and sedation as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, cath lab technologists, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure seamless patient flow.
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in the medical record.
• Maintain adherence to infection control practices, safety protocols, and evidence-based standards of care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in Virginia (or compact eligibility).
• Minimum 1–2 years of recent experience in cath lab, cardiovascular, or critical care nursing.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient assessment skills.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
