TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Rehab RN in Salem, Virginia, 24153!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Virginia License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Med/Surg or PCU experience is required. Rehabilitation experience is preferred. Description: General Information: The unit has 35 beds with a patient ratio of 5-7:1. Staffing typically includes 2-4 techs based on the census. Equipment used includes vitals machines, Baxter IV pumps, SCDs, and bladder scanners. The documentation system utilized is Meditech. Shifts are 12 hours long with every other weekend required. Workers may be floated to other medical-surgical departments as needed. Patient experience in rehabilitation is preferred. Advanced skills are not necessary for this role. Procedures performed on the unit include medication administration (IVs, PICC, PEG tube), bladder scans, trach care, tube feeding, Foley catheter insertion, bladder irrigation, and blood administration. Dress code requires navy blue or white solid scrubs. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, including nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and neuropsychology, to impact patient functional improvements and achieve goals for functional independence.
