Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A compelling opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in a dynamic school environment in Spotsylvania, VA. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning requirements.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to optimize student success.
- Employ various instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Monitor student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience teaching students with a range of disabilities from grades K through 12.
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Commitment to fostering student growth and independence.
