Groundskeeper
The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining all grounds, inside as well as outside.
Essential Job Functions:
- Pick up all debris on exterior of property.
- Maintain the cleanliness of all areas of the parking garage.
- Ensures all outside grounds of property are maintained.
- Clean elevators by wiping down walls, cleaning tracks and replacing light bulbs.
- Clean trash out of moat and maintain proper chemicals.
- In the winter months, maintain entrances with ice melt products and scrape the parking lot when necessary.
- Ability to physically maneuver throughout the resort and in assigned work area(s) to meet job function requirements as described.
- Lift, carry, push, or drag items of up to 70 lbs. (supplies, equipment, trash & receptacles)
- Must be able to read and understand all safety labeling and cautions on equipment, chemicals, and supplies.
- Ability to use WMS.
- Has the ability to work standing and walking for long periods of time.
- Ability to reach and use frequent and repetitive arm movements while using landscaping equipment and supplies.
- Performs other tasks as assigned, which may include moving tables and furniture when needed.
- Keeps track of existing products/services and/or progress on new initiatives.
- Stays up to date with the latest developments in the profession.
- Develops skills to handle increasingly complex matters.
- Complies with and upholds company expectations including Code of Commitment, policies, procedures, industry regulations, department goals and business strategy. Politely gives consistent, timely and accurate information and finds answers when unsure.
- All other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
- Ensures that behavior and appearance comply with established standards. Maintains a professional work environment with management and staff.
- Must be able to work independently
- Must have Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
- Must be able to obtain a required Virginia Lottery Gaming License.
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:
- Ability to physically maneuver throughout the resort and in assigned work area(s)
- Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned area
- Lift, carry, push or drag items of up to 70 lbs (supplies, equipment, trash & receptacles)
- Able to read and understand all safety labeling and cautions on equipment, chemicals and supplies
- Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
- Ability to work standing and walking for long periods of time.
- Ability to reach and use frequent and repetitive arm movements while using landscaping equipment and supplies.
- Must be willing and able to work in all weather conditions, temperatures and environments to complete tasks.
I understand the Casino and its surrounding areas are under constant surveillance, and that as an employee of Caesars Virginia, I will be under that surveillance.
