Position: RN-ER-Emergency Department (Travel/Contract)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care to patients in the ER.

• Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond to emergencies.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Participate in ongoing professional development and training programs.

• Engage in performance measurement and improvement initiatives.

• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in medical records.

• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures.

• Evaluate and implement best practices for emergency care delivery.

• Educate patients and families on health management and emergency procedures.

• Manage time effectively to meet patient care demands and departmental goals.

• Assist in training and mentoring new nursing staff.

• Participate in departmental meetings to discuss patient care strategies.

Experience/Qualifications

• Current RN license in Virginia with BLS and ACLS certification.

• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and training.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.

• Strong ability to assess and respond to critical situations effectively.

• Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) documentation practices.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

• Strong time management skills to meet patient care demands effectively.

• Knowledge of safety protocols and infection control measures in healthcare.

• Ability to educate patients and families on health management strategies.

• Willingness to mentor and assist in training new nursing staff.
