This is a great part-time job opportunity for an experienced electrician to hlep train the next generation of electricians. Our premier construction trade school in Loudoun County, Virginia , has an opening for an Electrical Instructor to train apprentices for commercial construction industry.
This is a rewarding way to give back to the trade, mentor future electricians, and ensure the highest standards of safety and skill in our local community. Not an experienced instructor? Don't hesitate to call. We have a great support system and trainers to prepare you to teach with confidence.
The Opportunity
- Location: Northern Virginia (Loudoun County)
- Schedule: One night per week (4 hours); September through early June.
- Compensation: Competitive hourly wage
- Support: Access to master trainers and a dedicated support team
Key Responsibilities
- Classroom Instruction: Facilitate NCCER curriculum (curriculum provides the lesson plans, and instructional resources needed) with focus on the commercial industry.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor student performance, provide constructive feedback.
- Code Compliance: Emphasize the importance of the NEC (National Electrical Code) and rigorous safety standards.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Must hold a valid Journeyman Electrician License .
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the electrical trade.
- Communication: Strong ability to relay technical information to students of various skill levels.
- Community Spirit: A genuine passion for training the next generation of craft professionals.
