We are seeking a skilled and versatile IT Analyst with expertise in IT quality assurance to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with IT Team across the organization to develop comprehensive test plans and ensure the quality and usability of our software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both business processes and software development methodologies, along with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions that meet user needs.

Environment

Microsoft-based infrastructure using primarily Windows desktop OS and Windows Server with Office 365; primarily .Net web and desktop development utilizing Microsoft SQL database back-end and limited use of Azure blob storage; integrations with Microsoft’s Dynamics Navision, D365 systems, UPS WorldShip, ShipWise, and Endicia; Palo Alto security network has been implemented.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Review User Stories:
  1. Analyze and prioritize the backlog of user stories in Azure DevOps.
  2. Understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and business context.
• Test Case Development:
  1. Write detailed test cases based on user stories and acceptance criteria, keep edge cases in mind and document possible issues.
• Execution of Test Cases:
  1. Perform manual testing, following the developed test cases to confirm the functionality, performance, and user experience.
  2. Log and document any issues identified, with detailed steps on how to reproduce.
• Regression Testing:
  1. Perform regression testing to ensure that new changes haven’t negatively affected existing functionality.
  2. Validate features to help produce reliable software that is scalable for the future.
• Documentation:
  1. Document testing results, including screenshots or logs, and update Azure DevOps with test execution status.
  2. Assist in creating training materials associated with deliverables.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Provide regular updates on testing progress to the project team, participate in daily stand-ups, and raise concerns early.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software program.
• Experience with MS DevOps.
• Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
• Excellent management skills with the ability to lead, facilitate, motivate, and organize.
• Ability to adapt to change.
• Ability to learn quickly and to creatively solve new problems.
• Ability to negotiate and settle differences quickly and peacefully.
• Ability to act as a team player.
• Reliable transportation for timely work attendance.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field preferred.
• At least three to five years of related experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on computer.
• Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.

• Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with mandatory weekday or weekend as needed.
