Accounting Clerk
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: Associate Responsibilities
- Checks and approves all vouchers for payment. Also prepares invoice deduction notices, as necessary. Receives, validates, and records invoices. Maintains vendor ,aster files.
- Contacts vendor or buyers regarding errors in partial or duplicate shipments, prices, or substitutions.
- Prepares, prints and distributes accounts payable checks and completes A/P checking Account reconciliation.
- Enters manual check information weekly.
- Prints all accounts payabe reports and maintans all accounts payable files.
- Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
- Prepares month end accurals for selected accounts and monthly accounts payable aging report.
- Assists with auditors analysis, 1099-Misc preparation, and special projects, as necessary.
- Assists Accounting Manager with maintaining Fixed Asset Records.
- Manages accounts receivable and makes deposits of all incoming checks.
- Administers wire transfers and monitors cash transfer balances between bank accounts.
- Confirms and classifies receipt of inventory or in-transit inventory from parent company for month end.
- Backs up receptionist and assists in tranferring calls.
