- Manage and improve identity and access controls, including role-based permissions, least-privilege access, and user lifecycle processes.
- Partner with software engineering and infrastructure teams to integrate security into development, deployment, and operational workflows.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation planning based on risk and business impact.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, procedures, and best practices across the organization.
- Support security tooling across endpoints, networks, and infrastructure including firewalls, MFA, endpoint protection, logging, and detection platforms.
- Assist with vendor security reviews and third-party risk assessments for new technologies and integrations.
Additional Responsibilities
- Contribute to disaster recovery, business continuity, and backup strategies from a security perspective.
- Support security considerations related to manufacturing-connected systems, operational technology, and external partner integrations.
- Improve organizational security awareness through documentation, guidance, and operational processes.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, infrastructure security, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of core cybersecurity domains including access control, network security, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, logging/monitoring, and incident response.
- Experience working in cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Familiarity with security technologies such as SIEM platforms, EDR solutions, IAM systems, MFA tools, vulnerability scanners, and firewalls.
- Experience implementing secure configurations, system hardening, and security best practices.
- Ability to assess risk, prioritize remediation activities, and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting security across internal systems, SaaS applications, and custom software environments.
- Strong documentation and process-building skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-growing environment where security maturity is evolving.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with AWS, Azure, GCP, or multi-cloud environments.
- Experience collaborating with software engineering teams on secure development practices or DevSecOps workflows.

- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CISSP, SSCP, GSEC, Azure Security Engineer, or AWS Security certifications.
What Success Looks Like
- Improved visibility into security risks, vulnerabilities, and system alerts.
- Stronger and more consistent identity and access controls across company systems.
- Earlier detection and mitigation of security risks with minimal disruption to business operations.
