Hana Engineers and Consultants, LLC is seeking a skilled entry level environmental technician / geologist / environmental scientist to support our Drilling and Field Services Division. This position will report to the Richmond, VA area and requires hands-on fieldwork alongside experienced drilling professionals.

Core Roles/Responsibilities:

• Must be able to assist with professional environmental and engineering work to include environmental and geotechnical drilling, environmental investigations to include sampling and analysis, maintenance and calibration of equipment and tooling, and provide assistance with completing reports, data entry, and permitting activities.

Specific Qualifications:

• 0-3 years of relevant experience in environmental or geotechnical drilling, field services, construction, or related industries.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and perform physical tasks in challenging environments, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Must be willing to work in various weather conditions.
• Must be willing to work extended hours (hours worked beyond 40/week earn 1x hourly payrate)
• Must be open to up to 50% overnight travel (all travel costs covered by Hana).
• Must be able to work independently and in small teams.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical Including a drug screen.
• Must be able to complete a federal background check.
• Must be able to complete 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training within first two weeks of start date (to be completed during regular work hours).
• Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in environmental or related science preferred.

Pay:

• $35,000-$60,000 ($17 - $28/hour), depending on experience.
