Warehouse Lead/Manager - Restaurant Equipment

A growing foodservice equipment distributor in Richmond, VA is seeking a motivated, hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead daily operations, drive efficiency, and ensure accurate, on-time deliveries. This is a direct hire opportunity in a high-impact leadership role where you'll be actively on the floor, leading by example and working side-by-side with your team.

What You'll Do

• Oversee and participate in receiving, inspection, and inventory intake

• Verify shipments against purchase orders and resolve damaged or incorrect deliveries with vendors

• Stage and prepare large equipment orders

• Coordinate and schedule deliveries, plan efficient routes, and manage timelines

• Lead, schedule, and support warehouse staff to maintain productivity and accountability

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse

• Serve as point of contact for operational issues and escalations

• Track and improve inventory accuracy, workflows, and operational efficiency

• Plus pitch in across the business as needed — showroom support, recruiting/onboarding, and annual inventory

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years in a warehouse, including team lead or supervisory experience (equipment, appliance, HVAC, or supply-house background a plus)

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Experience with receiving, inventory control, and logistics coordination

• Comfortable with inventory/order software, plus Word, Excel, and email

• Customer-focused with a positive, team-oriented attitude

• Able to lift 25+ lbs regularly and stay active on the floor

• Reliable, proactive, and able to lead under pressure and meet deadlines

• Flexibility for occasional extended hours or weekend work
