- Job-Specific Insights The role conducts technology and risk assessments, evaluating Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) devices for compliance with state and federal standards as well as regional transportation architecture. It leads and manages the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of mission-critical systems supporting VDOT’s Statewide Operations Program, including the Automated Traffic Signal Performance Measures (ATSPM) system and custom dashboards. The position also supports developing and managing agreements and memorandums with localities and third parties to integrate systems and implement customized signal timings for freeway detour routes during incidents and events.
