Real Estate Transactional/Leasing Lateral Attorney
Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Real Estate Transactional/Leasing Lateral Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial real estate transactions and leasing, providing expert legal counsel to buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants. This role focuses on facilitating complex real estate deals while ensuring compliance with regulations and protecting the interests of our clients. Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on a wide range of real estate transactions including purchase and sale agreements, leasing agreements, and development projects
- Negotiate and draft documents related to commercial real estate transactions such as leases, purchase agreements, and due diligence materials
- Assist clients in navigating transactions involving office, retail, industrial, and ground leases
- Conduct thorough due diligence to identify and mitigate risks associated with real estate transactions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners
- Manage a portfolio of clients and transactions, ensuring timely and effective communication
- Stay updated on real estate laws and regulations to provide informed legal guidance
- Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to facilitate successful transactions
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active attorney license in the relevant jurisdiction
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate law, with a focus on transactions and leasing
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiating and drafting real estate documents
- Strong understanding of the real estate market, including office, retail, and industrial sectors
- Ability to manage a book of business and develop client relationships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Portable book of business required
