Forklift Operator (OSHA Certified - 29 CFR 1910.178)
Job Summary We are seeking a safety-focused, experienced Forklift Operator to safely operate powered industrial trucks, including heavy-duty forklifts with lifting capacities of20,00030,000 pounds. The ideal candidate has experience moving oversized, heavy materials in an industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, port, or shipyard environment while following all OSHA regulations and company safety procedures. Responsibilities Safely operate powered industrial trucks, including forklifts with capacities ranging from20,00030,000 lbs. Load, unload, transport, stack, and stage heavy materials and equipment. Perform daily pre-operation and post-operation inspections, documenting any defects or maintenance needs. Verify load weights, capacities, and stability before lifting or transporting materials. Follow load charts, manufacturer specifications, and safe lifting practices. Maintain accurate inventory and shipping/receiving documentation. Communicate effectively with supervisors, spotters, crane operators, and warehouse personnel. Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards. Comply with all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of2 years of experienceoperating heavy-capacity forklifts (20,00030,000 lb preferred). Ability to safely move oversized and heavy loads in industrial environments. Knowledge of load capacity, forklift stability, and safe material handling practices. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
