About This Role

Attend to the needs of children at childcare institutions, where you'll perform a range of tasks to create a nurturing environment.

• Engage in activities like reading, painting, and singing with children, promoting their cognitive and creative development.
• Organize and maintain a safe and orderly activity area, ensuring access to materials and supplies.
• Operate in-house day-care centers within businesses, providing care for children of employees.
• Promote healthy habits by preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks.
• Assist with dressing, diaper-changing, and other personal care tasks.
• Support children with homework and educational activities, helping them develop essential skills.
• Perform various housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and dishwashing, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Accompany children to and from school, on outings, and to medical appointments, ensuring their safe transportation.
• Help children with bathing and personal hygiene routines.
• Ensure a safe play environment by identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's daily activities, behaviors, and any related concerns.
• Assist with food preparation and serving, promoting healthy eating habits.
• Develop engaging lesson plans that cater to children's unique needs and abilities.
• Establish and maintain a daily routine that promotes children's physical and emotional well-being.
• Perform administrative tasks, such as taking attendance, processing paperwork, and making phone calls.
• Organize and participate in fun activities, such as games, field trips, and other recreational events.
• Provide specialized care for children with mental health concerns, developmental delays, or other special needs.
• Take on supervisory roles, providing guidance and support to other childcare staff.
