CREDIT MANAGER

Summary:
The Credit Manager is responsible for the supervision, training, and development of the credit analyst team, working in conjunction with the Chief Credit Officer (CCO). Ensures that services provided by the credit analyst team are provided accurately, collaboratively, and efficiently to lenders. Routinely completes credit analyses on the most complex and largest loan transactions and provides recommendations on the extension of credit.
Essential Duties:
- Ensures that services provided by the credit analyst team are provided accurately, collaboratively, and efficiently to lenders.
- Analyzes financial statements and tax returns for personal and corporate borrowers.
- Approves loans under delegated authority.
- Reports to the Chief Credit Officer, other Senior Leaders, and Bank Board of Directors regarding any material considerations affecting the loan portfolio, loan policy, and individual loan transactions.
- Assists in delivery and development of bank-wide credit training
- Generates credit analysis reports to evaluate customers' financial status.
- Analyzes credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money and makes recommendation for extending credit.
- Analyzes financial data such as income growth, quality of management, and market share.
- Prepares reports that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
- Performs credit analysis and completes credit memos and submits to Loan Officer and/or CCO prior to submission to loan committee.
- Compares liquidity, profitability, and efficiency ratios of establishments being evaluated with those of
similar establishments in the same industries and geographic locations.
- Performs commercial appraisal reviews.
- Assists CCO in developing and maintaining credit-related policy and procedures.
- Manages coordinating weekly Loan Committee meeting; records minutes.

- Ability to respond to sensitive inquiries.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to perform duties using credit analysis software.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
- Ability to lead and develop a diverse group of subordinates.
- Ability to supervise others ensuring work is completed.
- Ability to delegate work to subordinates.
- Possess effective interpersonal skills to relate to customers and employees.
- Proficient organizational skills with ability to function in a flexible work environment.
- Proficient skills in MS Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Education and/or Experience (Required and Preferred)
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or other related field.
- A minimum of three years' related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Current driver's license to travel to other bank branch locations or customers' place of business.
