As a Security Guard - Flex Unarmed Patrol in Sterling, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will perform routine rounds, observe and report unusual activity, assist with visitor entry processes, and communicate clearly with site teams. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting concerns per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout food and beverage production, warehouse, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
• Monitor access points and vehicle traffic as assigned, verifying identification and/or delivery information and directing drivers, employees, and contractors to appropriate locations.
• Complete routine security-related logs and incident reports, communicate status updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision, and support shift transitions with clear pass-down information.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
